How to Pair a Wireless Bluetooth Headset With a PS3:

Power on the PlayStation 3 and navigate to the "Settings" area (on the far left side of the XMB.)

Then scroll down to the "Accessory Settings" icon and press the X button
Select "Register Bluetooth Device" from the menu. You will see two options. Select "Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones"
Put your Bluetooth headset into Sync or Pairing mode. The process for this varies by headset manufacturer, so check your owner's manual for specific details
Select "Start Scanning" from the screen while the headset is in pairing mode. You will be prompted to enter your Bluetooth headset's device code. Unless you have reset it, the code should be "0000". Press the X button after you have finished entering the code to continue
Exit the Bluetooth settings menu by pressing the O button and then go to the "Audio Device" area. Change the "Input Device" and "Output Device" to the Bluetooth headset. Test the headset by saying a few words into the mic. You should see the audio levels on the screen fluctuate

How To Set Up a Bluetooth Headset for the PS3:
Install the latest PS3 firmware by going to the "System Settings" menu in the cross-media bar (XMB). Select the "System Update" icon. If you already have the latest firmware, a window will pop up informing you of this
Go to the "Settings" tab on the XMB. Scroll down to "Accessory Settings."
Select "Scan for Bluetooth Device" and wait for your PS3 to detect the Bluetooth headset.
Select "Yes" to register your Bluetooth device. Select the "Start Scanning" option in the next screen
